George R.R. Martin Releases a New Excerpt from The Winds of Winter!

George R.R. Martin has released a new excerpt from the sixth A Song of Ice and Fire novel, The Winds of Winter! The excerpt focuses on House Martell’s slowly unfolding rebellion against the Lannisters, as Arianne contemplates their next move—and possible alliances with both Daenerys and the boy claiming to be Aegon Targaryen—in the quest for vengeance, justice, fire and blood…

In the current season of Game of Thrones, the Dornish plotline has already diverged greatly from Martin’s text, so there should still be plenty of surprises for fans of the novels.  You can read the full excerpt on Martin’s site!
